Matt + Nicole

To begin the love story of Matt and Nikki, we have to go back to 2008 gym class. Both Matt and Nikki were volunteering in a gym class for high school students with disabilities when they were partnered together. Nikki was only in the tenth grade and Matt in eleventh.

Matt began asking around for Nikki's phone number, she instructed her girl friend not to give it to him. It was a very good thing that she did not listen! The two eventually went on their first date to Pages Dairy in Southside for ice cream. To this day it is still one of their favorite date spots.

Matt and Nikki were high school sweethearts, and they both knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. After 9 years spent together, Matt put together a party to celebrate Nikki's graduation from graduate school. He invited both of their families and friends to join in the celebration. With everyone there, as they sat on the back porch of his house, Matt proposed! While they both knew she would say yes, it was a compete surprise to Nikki.

Nikki and Matt love to travel together. They have been to Hawaii, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, as well as many family vacations and beach trips. When they are not traveling they enjoy cooking homemade pizza together in their pizza oven and spending time with family and friends.

The couple is planning a romantic garden party themed wedding with burgundy, peach and greenery at Duquesne University Chapel and Power Center Ballroom on July 8, 2017. The pair are most looking forward to their first kiss as The Canofari's and celebrating the marriage with friends and family.

When asked what they look forward to most as newlyweds, they responded that they can't wait to be husband and wife after so many years of "boyfriend and girlfriend". They also excited about going on an amazing honeymoon adventure.

In five years they see a dream vacation to Greece and starting a family. Nikki wants at least three kids, Matt wants another dog for Oakley...

Farm Engagement Session | WV Photographer

Will and Katie spend a lot of time on this family farm in Ohio, so it made a perfect location for their engagement session.  It will also make a perfect spot for their fall 2017 wedding! Im looking forward to being able to recreate photographs from their engagement on their wedding day.

I have been on a roll lately with clients and their dogs, Im a huge dog person, so I love incorporating them into sessions. Will and Katie's dog Charlie, was an angel. She sat on command and tilted her head in a perfect pose. She will make an excellent flower girl!

I always enjoy my visits to the Donato Farm and cant wait to share and capture the love from their wedding day.

Cheers, Amanda

My first proposal shoot! EEK! I am a good secret keeper, however hiking 3 miles to a great spot while pretending its only a puppy session was hard. Both Jeff and I made as much small talk about the weather as we could...

Penelope is their adorable new puppy, who is deserving of her own puppy session, however Robert had something else up his sleeve. We were all very relieved when she said YES!

Penelope was also relieved that her parents are officially engaged. The rain held off and it was an awesome evening. I look forward to more proposal shoots...

Cheers, Amanda
